I’m a Georgia Peach hailing from the beautiful state of Georgia. I’m complete with a big smile and lots of southern charm. I grew up in a town where you knew everyone, and I am thankful to have that upbringing by two godly wonderful parents.
I am a blessed mother of two beautiful young ladies. I’ve been a single mom for over ten years and God has blessed tremendously in our journey providing as only He can. I come from a huge extended family on both sides. I can’t forget my grandpups who make life interesting.
From the time I was in Kindergarten God has blessed me with the skill-set to do marketing and fundraising. I was the kid that sold the most flower bulbs, candy bars and doughnuts. I was also the young lady who got to lead a county referendum to build the current high school in Dade County, Georgia. I am a product of higher education with degrees from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Liberty University and Dallas Theological Seminary. I lead my own ministry, Wendy Marie Ministries while also working on community marketing projects.
I have worked in marketing and fundraising in both corporate and private settings including broadcasting, entertainment and the non-profit sector. I have served on many non-profit boards and committees including St. Jude Research Hospital, the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital, National Cornbread Festival, Authentic Intimacy Ministries and TN Achieves Mentoring Program.
Champion Recovery Community is a little-known secret in our community doing BIG THINGS in the lives of women who have lost hope in who they are, what they’re capable of accomplishing and bringing healing to families and our community. I knew The Lord opened this opportunity for me to serve as the Resource Development Director to share my experience and skill-set to create and accomplish goals with this awesome organization to reach these women in crisis.
Life Verse
“In my distress I called upon the LORD,
And cried unto my God:
He heard my voice out of his temple,
And my cry came before him, even into his ears.” Psalm 18:6
