Have you ever been in a place emotionally that you had to look up to see the bottom? You find yourself to be completely overtaken by depression and circumstances that you'd do anything to make it stop? When you're looking for a moment of calm, a moment when there's no yelling, no struggle, no crying or no pain. The women that are in the middle of these situations are the women that we minister to. Whether these women call us in desperation, or we visit them in the local jail, they are looking for someone to stretch forth a hand to help them up. Champion Recovery Community is that organization that takes her by the hand and walks with her through recovery to a place of healing knowing her worth through Jesus Christ.
CRC will help any woman who is willing to enroll and participate in our program. We typically serve women within one hundred miles of our area, but the majority comes from in and around the Sequatchie Valley. These women must be in recovery from crisis, and understand that we are a Christ centered recovery program.
CRC is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that is supported through donations from churches, individuals, families and local businesses. Our program is free to any woman that needs it. We could only do what we do through the providence of God through those moved to support us.
Champion Recovery Community averages 30 clients a year, and we are looking to bring on more. We are currently raising money for a sober living house which will be the largest expense to date for our organization. We need supplies to execute the program such as curriculum needs. We also need funds for our job training program along with providing basic needs. We partner with shelters, ministry clothes closets and food pantries; however, we also buy groceries, provide transportation and assist with obtaining a driver's licenses. We currently have two part-time staff members who work more than full-time hours each week, and our goal is to bring them on in a full-time capacity.
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is but one only, living, and true God.
We believe that in the unity of the Godhead there be three persons, of one substance, equal in power, and glory: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day He rose again bodily from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He shall judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, the Comforter; who indwells His people, empowering them to reject sin and live righteously.
We believe all humans are created in God's image.
We believe that because of Adam and Eve's Original Sin, all humans are born sinful.
We believe that God is holy and just and must punish sin and sinners.
We believe that God is love, gracious, and merciful and saves His people from sin, sin's effects, and the right punishment for sinning.
We believe that salvation from sin comes through repentance and faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone.
We believe that upon repentance and faith in Christ alone, Christians are immediately free from the penalty of sin for all eternity. However, Christians will struggle with indwelling sin and sin’s effects until death or Christ’s return at the end of this present evil age.
We believe that Jesus Christ, Lord and King of the Church; which is made up of Jew and Gentile alike--men, women, and children of every tongue, tribe, and nation throughout history; calls His Church to love God and others, to be ministers of His grace, and to faithfully proclaim the gospel of His Kingdom.
We believe in eternal destinies: unrepentant and unforgiven sinners unto eternal death; repentant and forgiven sinners unto eternal life.
We believe in the glorious age to come, a renewed heaven and earth where God's people, His Church, will live eternally with Him free from sin--it's penalty, power, and presence.
