DESCRIPTION:  \nNational Recovery Month (Recovery Month)\, which started in 1989\, is observed every September to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices\, the nation’s strong and proud recovery community\, and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery possible.  Champion Recovery Community’s ability to have a positive impact on our community in the Sequatchie Valley would not be possible without the help of our local government programs\, our donors and all the support we get via prayer and volunteer hours. Join with us this month as we observe and encourage those walking in this journey to make our community a better place to live by GIVING EVERYTHING BUT UP!

DESCRIPTION:Whitwell’s Labor Day in the Park\nThe city of Whitwell will be hosting its four day Labor Day events\, starting on Friday\, August 29 with a Movie in the Park event to be held around dusk. Additional activities include a car show and beard contest on Saturday\, August 30\, live music to be hosted on Sunday\, August 31\, and the Labor Day parade\, burnout contest\, as well as mud bog on September 1st.  Stop by the Champion Recovery Community booth and pick up information on our programs including our Life Recovery Center in Jasper.
