I am from Marion County and have lived here all my life. I currently live on a 15-acre farm with my husband, Scott, 4 Corgis, 1 Pitbull, 1 cat and too many chickens to count. My parents are my neighbors, and the farm is on Jasper Mountain.
I am the proud mother of one son, Tres Dotson, who died at the age of 26 due to fentanyl poisoning. I am very active in the overdose community due to the devastating loss of Tres.
I have received a master’s degree in psychology and am the Human Resources Manager for Sequatchie Valley Head Start.
I feel God called me to be involved with CRC. It is a perfect niche for me and all that I have to offer the board. I want nothing more than to see people recovering from addiction to succeed and go on to have all of the things my son never got the chance to have.
The Bible verse that represents my life now and all of the struggles is Colossians 3:2, “Set your mind on things above, and not on earthly things.”
